A beautiful and reliable long day red keeper onion with firm globe shaped bulbs that are typically 3-4” in diameter, which would vary depending upon fertility and spacing. We were impressed by the uniform drying down time in early August from an April transplanting (we start seeds February 1st here in Oregon). Tight bulb wrappers are another great feature of these sweet beauties. This is one of the most famous onions in Italy. HEIRLOOM
