Ruta graveloens

Evergreen shrub in the Rutaceae family with gray green foliage and yellow flowers. Tolerates some shade and is hardy zones 4-10. Start seeds in late Winter as they are slow to germinate and transplant in Spring. Rue is used primarily for its anti-spasmodic properties and has high quantities of volatile oil which can be caustic to skin if exposed to sun light. SSF.
