Purple snap beans are so beautiful with their deep violet pods, stems, flowers and leaf venation that they are worth growing simply for their eye appeal! Fortunately, they are tasty lightly steamed as a wonderfully colorful and flavorful compliment to summer meals. Plants grow easily and have fairly good cold soil emergence in our trials. Very good disease resistance which improves success in organic conditions. They are easier to pick because the pods stand out against the foliage better than green beans. LRF
