Romanian Red Garlic is a late-season, Porcelain type. Truly impressive in every way, each bulb contains 4-6 large cloves, delivering a hot and pungent flavor that lasts. Its popularity stems from its robust growth, hardiness, and high allicin content, as well as the easy-to-peel cloves and unique streaked purple-red skin. The heads are wrapped in silky, creamy white and have excellent storage capabilities. Originally from Romania, this garlic has great market appeal for its size, taste and quality.

Flavor: Rich, spicy garlic with heat that lingers when raw. 

Storage ability: Will keep until March or April in a cool, dark garage or shed.

Cloves per bulb: 4-6

Cloves per pound: 16-24 - or about 4 bulbs/pound.

Planting: One pound plants 12 row feet at one clove every 6".
