Lemon Balm

Melissa officinalis  

A charming herb garden staple that is very easy to grow once established. Top growth is annual, then it dies back in the winter, only to rise again with vigor early in the spring. Wonderful fresh or dried in tea and praised for its calming effects. Beekeepers have used it to rub inside of a new hive when capturing wild swarms. DBF
