Seven Seeds Farm
(85-100 days to dry beans) Phaseolus vulgaris
This is an excellent heirloom dry bean that is very productive and matures much earlier than other dry beans. You'll be amazed at the incredible pod set that these plants put on. Let the pods dry down naturally on the stalk, or you can clip the plants at the base once you see them drying down. Thresh by pulling or cutting whole plants and whacking them into a trash can or large tub and the brittle pods should shatter easily. Delicious in soup or Central American fare! HEIRLOOM
