Beans, Gaucho (85 days)
These early maturing bush beans are the consistently among the earliest to ripen for dry beans in the field in our trials. Originally from Argentina, they are named after the legendary cowboys of the South American Pampas. The gaucho is a national symbol in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay and are reputed to be brave and unruly.
Well this bean may be tough, but it's far from being unruly! It dries down early and consistently in the field, ensuring that you'll have abundant meals of creamy golden dry beans. Gauch shines where many other varieties have many pods that are still green when fall frost comes in the north. Grow it and you will see why it's a legend in the North too! HOO
