Beans, Turkey Craw (70 days fresh / 100 dry) Phaseolus vulgaris – A bean with the unique distinction of having been gathered from the crop (craw) of a wild turkey in the Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee area. It is corn-field or pole bean growing to about 6’ tall that can be used as a snap or dry shelling bean. The pods are about 4” long and have flat, tannish white speckled appearance.
