Apium gravelolens

An open pollinated market standard. Well-rounded, thick, stringless stalks. Very crisp and tasty. Celery is easy to grow and can be grown almost anywhere with the proper care. Start seed in greenhouse early in spring and plant when it has a few true leaves. Germinates slowly. Overwinters in mild winter areas where lows are above 20 ̊ F.
