Long to intermediate day Italian red onion that tolerates cool climates.  Excellent keeper with 4-5" bulbs that have a unique barrel shape, are uniformly colored, and have tight skins. Selected and improved by the late great Dr. John Navazio for organic conditions and thrip resistance. Very attractive. Adapted for 38-50° latitude. HEIRLOOM.
