This is a Spanish variety from our friends in the Catalonia region of Spain who have a farm based cooperative seed company called Les Refardes. “De Colgar” translates as “hanging” referring to the tradition of hanging the tresses of fruits from string in the kitchen where they can last for up to 6 months! Growth habit is semi-indeterminate, they do benefit from trellising and light pruning. Fruits grow to a nice spherical shape 2&¼” across and are a pleasant orange shade of red. Flavor is mild and the texture is firm, but not as much so as a Roma type. HEIRLOOM.
